180-room student residence in Zaragoza.
Zaragoza is the city that sits between Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, and Valencia — equidistant from four of Spain's largest cities, connected to all of them by high-speed rail, and home to its own distinct identity that has little need to borrow from any of them. The University of Zaragoza is one of the oldest in Spain, with a student population spread across faculties in the historic centre and the newer university campus. The city centre is compact and walkable, with a Roman grid underneath its medieval and baroque layers, and a food and cultural scene that punches well above what its size would suggest.
Our Zaragoza student residence offers 180 rooms in a city where the supply of quality purpose-built student accommodation has historically lagged behind demand. The building is designed to the standard consistent with our other Spanish PBSA projects — properly equipped rooms, functional shared spaces, and the kind of building that students can rely on to work well throughout their academic year. The scale of the project — 180 rooms — allows for a residence with genuine community, without the anonymity of a very large building.
Construction started in January 2024 and the residence is planned for long-term operation by Odalys. The project is being developed in line with BREEAM standards, with the same delivery principles Promiris applies across markets: local oversight, consistent specification, and no compromise on the quality of the spaces students actually live in.
