500-room student residence close to Murcia's two main university campuses.
Murcia sits in the heart of southeast Spain — a compact regional capital on the banks of the Segura River, with a baroque cathedral at its centre, a strong local food culture, and a university population that accounts for a significant share of the city's day-to-day life. The University of Murcia and the Universidad Católica de Murcia (UCAM) together draw tens of thousands of students to the city, many of them from outside the region and increasingly from other European countries. Murcia's climate, cost of living, and city-scale make it one of the most practical places to be a student in Spain.
At 500 fully furnished single rooms, this is the largest student residence in our Spanish portfolio. Each room is planned with a private kitchen and bathroom, giving students independence within a managed residential environment. Positioned near both the Universidad de Murcia and UCAM, and connected to the city centre by the nearby L1 tramway line, the project combines campus access, urban life and the operational infrastructure required for a residence of this scale.
The Murcia residence is being developed to target BREEAM standards. At 500 rooms, aligning the building with BREEAM standards requires genuine commitment from the earliest design and procurement stages — ensuring sustainability is embedded in the project rather than treated as a later-stage formality.
