216-room student residence adjacent to the University of Namur.
Namur sits at the confluence of the Sambre and Meuse rivers — a city defined as much by its geography as by its identity as the capital of Wallonia. The Citadelle on the hill above the city, the rivers below it, and the compact university quarter that surrounds the University of Namur give the city a character that is different from Brussels or Liège: smaller, more walkable, with a genuine sense of neighbourhood in the areas surrounding the campus. Students who study in Namur tend to stay in Namur — the city has enough to offer, and the university community is close-knit enough to make it worth staying close to.
AXS 4 is a 216-room student residence positioned directly adjacent to the University of Namur campus. The location is the project's primary advantage: zero commute to the university, with direct access to the campus facilities and the neighbourhood that has grown up around them. The building is configured as a purpose-built student residence — rooms designed for real academic-year habitation, shared spaces scaled appropriately for a building of this size.
Delivered in September 2022, AXS 4 was developed in collaboration with Baltisse Real Estate and later taken over by Xior Student Housing, a Belgian specialist in student accommodation. The project was built with BREEAM standards in mind, combining a strategic university location with durable construction and the quality protocols applied across our Belgian student residence portfolio.
